PIERRE PAILLARD

The Paillard family has been growing vine and making wine in in Bouzy since the middle of the eighteenth century. As early as 1946, Pierre starts developing a French and foreign clientele under the name of Champagne Pierre Paillard… Benoît has kept the memory of the name to make it a renowned brand all over the world. And here comes Antoine, the eighth generation of winemakers since 2008! Here they will now present the contemporary history of Champagne Pierre Paillard.

Champagne Brut Grand Cru

Vinification Champagne Brut Grand Cru is a blend of the years 2004-2005. Non-vintage whites are 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay.

Ageing
These champagnes mature at least three to four years in our cellars. This time gives them balance, finesse and elegance… three characteristics which have been the recognized features of our champagnes for a few generations!

Tasting
Served in a champagne glass, you will notice regular streams of tiny bubbles, giving this golden champagne a great elegance. The flavors are intense. From the nose, the Pinot Noir comes out with its undergrowth notes, as well as yellow fruit, peach, apricot. On the palate, you will recognize quince, almonds and undergrowth again. Its vinosity and fruitiness slowly leave place to a lovely straight freshness typical of the chardonnay. This is a perfect champagne for aperitif.
